Gain Hands-On Experience While Making a Difference
At Meals on Wheels of Long Beach, interns are more than volunteers—they are valued members of our team. Our internship program provides meaningful, hands-on experience for students pursuing careers in public health, social work, nutrition, gerontology, nonprofit management, business, communications, psychology, sociology, human services, and other related fields.
As an intern, you'll apply classroom knowledge in a real-world nonprofit setting while helping improve the lives of homebound older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities throughout our community.
Every day, you'll help fulfill our mission:
"We are more than a meal—we nourish, we comfort, we protect."
